September is a time of change in New England as summer slowly fades and autumn takes center stage. September has also become one the most popular months for weddings due to the (usually) amazing weather. We thought you might enjoy a few spectacular shots from a recent wedding in Coastal Connecticut. A big shout out to Kaylie and Luke for being such amazing clients and putting such care and thought into their special day!

We can’t say enough good things about La Cuisine as our wedding reception caterer. From Day 1, we felt like we were in great hands with Tim – and that feeling lasted until the party ended! This was especially important given that we planned the event remotely, and only had the opportunity to meet in person a couple of times, with the majority of communication being phone and email. Tim was responsive, organized, flexible and wonderful. He felt like a friend, not a vendor! We collaborated on a menu that perfectly nailed a “summer dinner party” feel for our tented reception on a private beach. The food was delicious, and we loved the specialty cocktail and cake that La Cuisine designed for us. The entire team was professional and on top of every detail. They worked hand-in-hand with our other vendors, which made for a seamless night…and accommodated every single request we had (which were many ;-)). 5+ stars!!

This recipe, from the September issue of Bon Appetit, caught our eye and we wanted to share it: Pan Seared Scallops with Chorizo & Corn.
We know, we know, we are already thinking about holiday parties in December and it’s not yet Halloween. We are excited to continue the tradition of booking the best holiday parties on the Shoreline and beyond! Along with off-premise locations, we can host evening holiday events in our cafe in Branford. Call us to start planning!
