Valentine’s Day Fun Though February in New England is often a quiet month with fewer parties, we had a great time at this Valentine’s Day celebration for one of our favorite clients in New Haven. We wanted to share a few pictures from the fun!

Salt Marsh Farm
Here at La Cuisine, we are focused on handcrafted and delicious food, using seasonal and local ingredients as much as we can. One of our closest local partners is Salt Marsh Farm in Guilford.  The farm has been continuously farmed by the Leete family for almost 400 years and now raises free range Hereford Beef Cattle. The animals live a comfortable, stress free life, eating grass and hay, peaches, pumpkins, pressed apples and brewer’s grain from local sources. La Cuisine’s burgers use all natural beef from the farm.

Here’s what Jonathan Leete Page says about why he enjoys running the family farm “The two best things about operating Salt Marsh Farm are pretty simple. I take a great deal of pride in knowing that The Leete family has been farming this same property for almost 400 years. The second best thing would be knowing that all of my animals are extremely well taken care of and lead a very stress free life. Having my own family, friends and the local community really support the farm and enjoy the products we are producing is very gratifying.”

Cheers!
Did you know that we serve premium wine and craft beer from local breweries including: Thimble Island Brewery and Stony Creek Brewery here in the cafe? We also have specialty cocktails like our Bacon Bloody Mary. Consider treating yourself next time you come in for brunch, or stop by for a late afternoon glass of wine.
