Local, Seasonal Ingredients:. Letting the season dictate the menu by using the rich bounty that avails itself to us locally just seems right.  When seasonal limitations become too severe, we work to reduce the amount of travel time from farm to table.  Sustainability, sound animal husbandry, no antibiotics or growth hormones, handcrafted, organic, artisan and farmstead are La Cuisine’s watchwords. We buy from and support people of like mind.

Craftsmanship: We believe in handcrafted food, from our stocks to our pastries. We support farmers, cheese makers, and other professionals who feel the same way. Entertaining is a craft.  We like to do things the old fashioned way: all-natural cuisine.  We prepare everything from scratch.  This means we employ more chefs and bakers because we do things by hand, rather than buying prepared, canned or frozen ingredients.   Why do we do this? Well that’s the easy part: because it tastes better and we pride ourselves on serving the best food we can.  The third generation of our family is now thriving on La Cuisine’s food.

Going Green:  Many of our to-go plates are made from bamboo or cane sugar.  Our clear to-go containers and cups are made from cornstarch.  We recycle in our shops, café, office, kitchens and at our events. We compost for our gardens as well.
