Welcome to La Cuisine home, the portal to the community of businesses that comprise La Cuisine. A cottage overlooking Long Island Sound was the site of the bakery that began in 1981. Today, our home on Route One in Branford once again encompasses the bakery, cafe, market, and catering. Each component is unique in it’s own way, but very much a part of the whole, committed to providing our guests with the taste of wonderful food coupled with the experience of exceptional service.
Our longevity throughout the turmoil often called the American food revolution is based on caring, attentive service of full flavored foods. We seek artisanal producers of everything from cheese to salad greens, beef to marmalade, olive oils to chocolate. Our staff recognizes the unique nature of these ingredients, treating them with the care and respect needed to showcase their flavors.
